It’s time to get your green on. Blarney stones, 4 leaf clovers and if you’re the right age of leprechaun, maybe a pint or two of some really dark brew called Guinness.
So what’s going on around Annapolis this weekend? Well my recent article in Bay Weekly will let you know my love of local music and it will be flowing heavily just like the green beer around this town.
Ready to start it out with a little pre-Patrick fun? Friday night: – At the Whiskey, it’s quite a show going on with the Grilled Lincolns, Higher Hands, 8 Ohms and Sweet Leda. Weird Science at Fado’s. Dirty City at Middleton’s. And Rockfish is featuring Doug Segree.
Saturday: All across town it’s celebration and festivities. Diner, Drive In and Dives’ recently featured Galaway Bay has Ray Weaver and Dermot Power. Fado’s has live music all day long from Weems Creek Jam Session (11am), Crossing Celtic (2pm), The Rovers (6pm) and Sly 45 (10pm). So does Rams Head Tavern – featuring: Swamp Candy, Mixed Business and The Black Cadillacs. Stan & Joe’s has American Standard. Red Red Wine Bar has Pressing Strings. Greenbeets at Middleton’s. Blue Miracle at The Whiskey. Higher Hands at Rockfish. Kajun Kelly at Ram’s Head Roadhouse. Hot Tub Limo at Wild Willy’s.
I suspect I may have missed a few but you can always check www.annapolisrocks.com anytime to find out the local perspective on Annapolis music.
